\b \cf1 \ATXht15 orchestra\b0 \cf0 \ATXht0 through two entrances (parodoi) at the sides of the stage. The latter was of the classical type with a back wall adorned with \b \cf1 \ATXht3 columns\b0 \cf0 \ATXht0 and a few caryatides. The alterations made
in the Roman era were confined mainly to the cavea and, to some extent, the stage, which was set forward so that it encroached on the area of the orchestra.\par
